Salons and suites

One booking page
for every chair.

For a salon or suite owner. Your page lists every stylist. A client books one by name, or takes the first time anyone has free. Each stylist's clients, texts and appointments stay hers.

The salon page

Your name on top. Every stylist underneath.

The page carries your salon's name, photo and colors, at its own booking link. Under them, a card for each stylist: her photo, her first name, a line about her. Tap a card and the client is on that stylist's own booking page, with her services and her times.

A client who doesn't mind who does her hair picks First available: a service, a day, then a time. The confirmation names who she got: “You're booked with Kaci, Tue Nov 4, 10:00.” From then on it is Kaci's appointment in every way.

How it works

Four steps. One link to share.

  1. 01

    Set up your salon page

In ChairCal, open Studio, then Your salon, then Set up a salon page. Give it a name, a booking link, an address, a photo and colors.

  2. 02

Send your stylists the join link

Each stylist opens the link, signs in or makes her own account, and taps Join. Before she joins she is told exactly what you will see of her day.

  3. 03

Stylists choose to take first-available bookings

A stylist who turns on Take first-available bookings gets matched with clients who just want a time. She checks which of her services match the salon's list.

  4. 04

Clients book by name or first available

Your page shows a card for each stylist, in the order you choose. A client taps Book with Kaci, or picks a service and a day and takes the first time anyone has free.

Her clients stay hers

The salon holds no client list.

A client who books through the salon page becomes a client of the stylist she booked with, the same as if she'd used that stylist's own link. Texts and reminders come from the stylist's business line. The salon has no line and sends nothing.

You choose what you see of each stylist's day: Times only, or Everything. Times only shows when she's busy, not who, except for bookings from first available. Everything shows each client's first name and the service, as a front desk needs. Neither shows earnings, notes or mobile phone numbers, and each stylist is told your setting before she joins.

What it costs

Two ways to pay. You can change it later.

  • Each stylist pays her own plan

Nothing changes for her bill. You pay for your own account like anyone else. A suite owner can offer the page to renters at no cost to herself.

  • The salon pays $29 a chair a month

One bill, on your plan, for every stylist but you. The salon pays only for the days each stylist was in. Her own plan pauses while you pay.

FAQ

Questions owners and stylists ask first.

The owner picks one of two settings, and you are told which before you join. Times only: the owner sees when you're busy, not who. Bookings from first available show the service and the client's first name. Everything: the owner sees each client's first name and the service. Never earnings, notes, mobile phone numbers or your client list. If the setting changes, every stylist is told the same day and it starts the next day.

The stylist who takes the appointment, from her own business line, as she does today. Reminders, replies and the close-out are hers. The salon has no line and sends nothing.

Among the stylists free at that time, the one with the fewest appointments that day. A tie goes to the one picked least recently. Only stylists who turned on first-available bookings, offer that service and book clients straight in take part.

Clients can still book her by name from the salon page. She just isn't offered in first available.

Yes, any time, from Studio. Her clients and appointments stay hers. Leaving only stops new first-available bookings from that moment. The owner can also remove a stylist, with the same result.

No. A stylist is in one salon at a time. She keeps her own booking page either way.

Her own plan, like any ChairCal account. The salon page runs on it.

Yes, on the salon's settings. When the salon pays, each stylist's own plan is paused, and her extra texts and emails go on the salon's bill. Switching back to each stylist paying starts on the owner's next billing date, and every stylist is told by email and push. A stylist on the Founders rate keeps it for when she pays again.

No. ChairCal books each stylist's appointments and keeps her clients with her. Commission, payroll and rent stay where they are today.
