The two that matter most

Fill

Moat

Cancellation recovery — the thing nobody else does well.

  • Sequential priority blast to your top regulars (not a group waitlist)
  • Real 60-second hold per offer (server-side, slow-phone-proof)
  • Per-client opt-out + automatic STOP handling
  • No monthly cap on Fill texts
  • Earlier-swap: offer a slot to a later-booked client privately

Process Time

Moat

Two clients, one pair of hands — books a cut inside a color.

  • Mark the hands-free phase of any service (color, perm, lash, treatment)
  • Booking page exposes that window for a compatible short service
  • Per-service compatibility rules (cut OK; blowout no)
  • Per-client opt-out for regulars who want the full chair

Do the math

How much are empty chairs actually costing you?

Drag the sliders. The number on the right is what you're already losing without ChairCal.

If those slots go unfilled, you lose

$6,840

per year

That's 6 cancellations a month at $95 each. ChairCal pays for itself 30× a month if you recover even one of them.

Compared honestly

Where we win. Where they do.

We don't try to be a full salon platform. Vagaro, StyleSeat, and GlossGenius all do more than us — and charge for it. Here's exactly what we do better, and what we don't do at all.

What we don't do — on purpose

  • Marketplace discovery. Your new clients come from Instagram and word of mouth. We don't list you on a directory.
  • Promo email/SMS campaigns. We send the texts that fill your chair, not "BOGO color!" blasts.
  • Inventory / retail. You don't run a Sephora.
  • Multi-stylist scheduling & commissions. You're solo. We built one tool for one chair.
  • Native iOS / Android app. We're a fast web app, not an App Store app. Add the page to your home screen and it behaves like one — no updates to install, no review delays when we ship fixes.

What we don't do — yet

  • Take card payments end-to-end. Planned. For now, keep your Square reader — we focus on the booking side.
  • Gift cards. Planned.
  • Loyalty / rewards. Planned. Until then, your top regulars feel like VIPs because Fill treats them like ones.
  • Public reviews / ratings. Planned.

¹ Vagaro 1-calendar tier per vagaro.com/pro/pricing. ² GlossGenius Standard is $24/mo billed annually ($28 monthly) per glossgenius.com/pricing; Processing time and automated waitlist unlock at Gold ($48/mo annually). Pricing verified May 2026 and may change — check each provider before deciding.

FAQ

Honest answers.

No. They tap a link in a text and book — no app, no account. Their phone number is all the identity we need.

Depends on what you use them for. If you rely on their POS, gift cards, marketplace listing, or loyalty program, those tools have things we don't (yet) — ChairCal can run alongside them while you keep payment and retail there. If your payments are already handled outside the booking tool (Square reader, Venmo, cash) and you mostly need bookings, Fill, Process Time, and an inbox — switch over and turn the old tool off. Most full-switchers move within the first month.

Your name shows in the message body so clients know it's you. Replies route into your ChairCal inbox, so your personal phone stays private.

Booth renters and commission stylists, yes — anyone whose business is their own chair. W-2 with a salon manager handling the books, no — we don't do roster management or commission splits.

You can export your full client list as CSV any time, including after you cancel. Your data stays yours.

Every Fill text includes a STOP-to-opt-out line. If she replies STOP, she's out of the Fill rotation within seconds and never gets another offer. She can still book with you through your booking page — she just won't see cancellation offers.

30-day money-back guarantee. If ChairCal doesn't pay for itself in your first month, just email support@chaircal.com — no forms, no exit interview, no questions.

The first 100 stylists who sign up get $19/month for life — even if pricing goes up later. That rate is locked to your account as long as it stays active. We'll cap it at 100 because we mean it; no perpetual "founders" sale.

You'll get a reminder email three days before it ends. If you've added a card, you'll roll into your plan automatically. If you haven't, your account pauses — your booking page goes offline, but your data stays put. Add a card any time to resume.
